It's always good to see what our customers create and we have some of their work on our Projects page together with some of our own work. I try to keep it updated but am not as diligent as I should be. It's amazing how time consuming everyday housekeeping can be! Anyway, this outifit is one made by Jill from our drop-in. The pattern is from Drops (Captain Jack in Drops children 23-26) and as you can see there is a hat, jumper and neckwarmer available. It's easy to see when browsing their patterns that Drops are a Scandinavian company as they make sure knitters will be warm! Jill chose to use Drops Karisma to knit the items although the original is in Lima but as with most Drops patterns, it is quite easy to substitute yarns. I've knitted this jumper too in Wendy Pixile which turned out really well.
UK knitters can find Drops patterns (and Bergere) difficult to follow as they are written in quite a different way to British ones but once you are over the shock and remember to read right the way through before starting, they are really not too bad and rarely have mistakes in them. As you can see from the picture, they are definitely worth persevering with.
