![]() Generally Ruth and I are pretty good at staggering our holidays but this year we've failed! We are both going away with family which meant a lot of juggling and ended up with us both booking the same week! The shop will be closed for business on Friday 18th August and will reopen on Tuesday 29th. I'll be back refreshed and re-invigorated ready for the Tuesday drop in on the 29th and Ruth will be back the following week. If you need yarn for next week you'll need to come in by the end of tomorrow to stock up, otherwise we'll see you the week after. Holidays though, means lots of thought about what projects to take so that I can ignore them for a week! I will need to take car knitting -- probably my Ammonite Shawl www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ammonite-shawl as it's got a simple but interesting lace pattern. After that it may be crochet for plane (as I'm more confident of getting a crochet hook through security and I haven't finished my crochet holiday top yet!) and then another lightweight project -- possibly PImlico by Anniken Allis www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pimlico-4 After that I need to take some crochet hooks and yarn to teach my sister to crochet while we are there. I feel I should take another project too but maybe that would be over the top as we are only away for a week and I'll need to read a couple of novels too. Let's hope for the sake of our luggage allowance that there aren't any lovely yarn shops in Barcelona and Tarragona or I may have to leave some clothes behind! |
