It's been a good week in the shop. The drop-in on Tuesdays is always busy and very friendly and so we have been busy planning our new drop-in. From next Friday we will be running a designated charity drop-in. We have joined with Cafe 50 in Pontyclun to make a Sensory Garden for Ysbyty George Thomas in Treorchy. The project came about after Cafe 50 made twiddlemuffs for dementia sufferers and Ysbyty George Thomas then asked us to go a bit further and make a garden. The drop-in will run on Fridays from 10 till 3 pm and we will supply the yarn to make flowers, birds, animals -- anything you would find in a garden and we will plan to have the garden installed at the hospital by October. The drop-in is free to attend (although occasional donations for tea and coffee would be appreciated) or knitters and crocheters can go to Cafe 50 on Thursdays and create some of the garden there. We are really excited about the project and hope to see lots of you here to join in.
