Where are the parties held:
We can cater for up to eight partygoers in our crafting space in the shop or we can come to your venue. For parties of between nine and sixteen we will come to your venue.
For parties in our crafting space, the fee includes experienced instructors, the use of our tools and equipment and all materials plus light refreshments as indicated below.
For parties at your venue, the fee includes experienced instructors, use of our tools and equipment and all materials. If the venue is more than 10 miles driving distance from our shop, we will also charge travelling expenses in addition to the standard fee. We would expect to arrive 20 to 30 minutes before the activity is due to start to allow time for us to set up. We will require a suitable working surface with space for all the participants to sit around it. After the activity is completed, we will tidy up and expect to leave within 30 minutes. We will do our utmost to ensure surfaces in the activity area are protected but we cannot accept liability for any damage that might occur.
Is the venue accessible?
Our crafting space is at our shop in Pontyclun which has step-free access from the pavement. There is sufficient space for a standard size wheelchair but may not be suitable for a powered wheelchair. Please note that our toilet facilities are upstairs. You are welcome to come and visit us to see the room and access.
When are parties held?
Parties are usually held on Saturday or Sunday afternoons although other times may be available by arrangement. Contact us to find out if your chosen dates is available.
How are the parties organised?
7+ parties are 90 minutes with a typical timetable being 10 minutes to introduce the activity, 70 minutes of focussed crafting with help from our tutor(s) as needed and 10 minutes to finish off and tidy up.
Teen parties last for two hours with a typical timetable being 10 minutes to introduce ourselves and the craft we will be doing, an hour and a half of focussed crafting with a short break in the middle, 10 minutes to finish off and tidy up.
Parties for adults are three hours for the standard packages but we can tailor the event to suit you and your guests. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
How many adults are present?
For parties up to eight we have one or two tutors and for numbers over that we have two. For 7+ parties we require one adult per four children to stay to provide general supervision.
Is party food included?
No, the party package includes soft drinks and biscuits for the children and hot or cold beverages for adults. You can book the venue for extra time at £10/hour after the activity has finished and supply your own party food. We cannot allow alcohol to be consumed on the premises.
Are party bags provided?
There is no need for party bags as guests will take home their hand-made masterpiece. If you wish, we can supply handmade fabric re-useable snack bags for you to fill. These would cost an additional £3 per guest. For some activities we can provide a starter kit for guests to take home – please ask for details of contents and costs.
How easy or hard are the party activities?
We tailor the activity to the age and abilities of the party-goer and will discuss this when booking with you.
How much do the parties cost?
7+ parties are £150 for up to eight children and £225 for between nine and 16.
Teens parties are £175 for up to eight children and £250 for between nine and 16.
7+ parties are £250 for up to eight children and £375 for between nine and 16.
